1. What is a cookie?

2.1. SEAS uses the following types of cookie:

b. Third-party cookies: cookies on a third-party server (unconnected to SEAS). Specifically:

· PREF, NID, HSID, SSID, APISID, SAPISID, SID: cookies wholly managed by Google; used on the website to view geographical locations on Google Maps.

· cX::analytics: a cookie from Cxense AS used to obtain information on website functionality and browsing.

· Advertising cookies: these gather information on browsing habits to offer the user advertising in line with their interests, previous interactions with the advertiser's publicity, website visits, and to avoid showing advertising the user has already seen. Examples include: uid, cid and NID and SID from Google and Facebook cookies. Google uses cookies, such as NID and SID, to customise adverts shown on their domains (e.g. on the Google search engine). For instance, we use these cookies to remind you of your recent searches, previous interactions with search results or publicity from an advertiser and your visits to the advertiser's website. This allows us to show you customised adverts on Google.
