SEAS Estudios Superiores Abiertos, an entity belonging to the San Valero Group, has developed the European project Rural Needs and Mobile Learning with the support of the European Commission and Erasmus+ co-funding.

A new learning approach to support the specific needs related to employment and social inclusion in European areas with a low population density and which are in unfavourable conditions compared to other places with larger population.

During one week the towns of Jaca (Monday 17) and Chimillas (Tuesday 18) in the province of Huesca, Teruel capital (Wednesday 19), San Esteban de Gormaz in the province of Soria (Thursday 20) and Cervera de Pisuerga in the province of Palencia (Friday 21), will host the seminar on New training mobility approach to meet needs for qualification and social inclusion in the European Rural Area.

This seminar, open to the public, will take place in the mobile classroom of SEAS, which will travel on this occasion to these villages in order to discuss about different issues related to social and health care and dependency in rural areas.

The trainning will take place jointly with Vitalia, an organization specialized in the care of the elderly and in the prevention of their physical and cognitive deterioration, thus improving the quality of life of the elderly and their families. They also have the support of the City Hall of each town and the health departments of both autonomous communities, Aragón and Castilla y León.

They will converse about issues related to the future of residences for the elderly, loneliness in old age and the necessary support at home, as well as learning about the work carried out in many residences and day centers. 

This training joins those already held in Portugal and Italy with the project partners in these countries, Fundação da Juventude and Cooperativa Margarita, respectively.
